Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai keberkesanan pelaksanaan Program Smart Solat@UPIM yang dilaksanakan dalam kalangan pelajar Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. Program ini dirancang bagi memperkukuh kefahaman dan penghayatan ibadah solat melalui pendekatan pengajaran interaktif dan penggunaan bahan bantu multimedia. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuantitatif melalui edaran soal selidik kepada pelajar dari tiga jabatan iaitu Teknologi Makanan, Kejuruteraan Awam dan Perdagangan. Data dikumpulkan daripada 130 orang peserta yang memberikan respons positif terhadap pencapaian objektif program, keberkesanan kandungan, penyampaian penceramah dan keberkesanan bahan multimedia. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa majoriti peserta memberikan skor tinggi terhadap semua aspek yang dinilai. Penemuan ini disokong oleh teori psikologi seperti Teori Hierarki Keperluan Maslow, Teori Perkembangan Psikososial Erikson, dan Teori Pembelajaran Sosial Bandura yang menekankan aspek perkembangan spiritual, identiti dan pembelajaran melalui pemerhatian. Kajian ini mencadangkan pelaksanaan program berskala lebih luas, dengan penambahan modul lanjutan, latihan praktikal, serta pemantauan jangka panjang untuk menilai keberkesanan program secara menyeluruh. Program ini terbukti sebagai inisiatif efektif dalam membentuk sahsiah dan identiti keagamaan pelajar politeknik, serta boleh dijadikan model pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam di institusi pengajian tinggi lain.
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Smart Solat@UPIM Program carried out among students of Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. The program was designed to strengthen students' understanding and appreciation of the Islamic prayer (solat) through interactive teaching methods and the use of multimedia learning aids. This study employed a quantitative research design by distributing questionnaires to students from three departments: Food Technology, Civil Engineering, and Commerce. Data were collected from 130 participants who gave positive responses regarding the achievement of the program’s objectives, the effectiveness of the content, the delivery by the speaker, and the use of multimedia. The findings show that the majority of participants gave high scores for all evaluated aspects. These results are supported by psychological theories such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Erikson's Psychosocial Development Theory, and Bandura's Social Learning Theory, all of which emphasize spiritual development, identity formation, and learning through observation. This study recommends a wider-scale implementation of the program, with the inclusion of advanced modules, practical training, and long-term monitoring to assess its overall effectiveness. The program has proven to be an effective initiative in shaping the character and religious identity of polytechnic students and can serve as a model for implementing Islamic education in other institutions of higher learning.
